I have an appt Oct 21st to have the pins removed from my toes. At that point, all foreign objects (stitches, pins, etc) will have been removed from my foot and I will be just 1 week away from being able to place weight on the foot. If the Doctor doesn’t have any objections, we plan to video the pin removal for the blog. So we’ll see how that goes. I can’t wait to get the pins out; they aren’t as uncomfortable as they look but I’m always afraid of snagging them on a blanket or something.
This pic shows the entry site of the screw on the end of the big toe, the stitches marks on each toe and the pins. The cover has already fallen off one pin, as you can see.
